UK coronavirus curve starts to FLATTEN-critical care chart gives hope as London cases FALL

THE United Kingdom's COVID-19 coronavirus curve is beginning to flatten according to the UK Government's Deputy Chief Scientific Adviser

Professor Angela McLean stated that the spread of the coronavirus is under control within Britain at the Government's daily briefing on Wednesday. Speaking from Downing Street, Professor McLean referred to the lack of acceleration in cases as good news. The amount of COVID-19 cases in the capital is slowing down and, as a result, the beginning of a flat curve could be seen in the graphs presented by Professor McLean.
Professor McLean said: "This count of new cases in the UK day by day over the last few weeks is not accelerating out of control.
"Yesterday there were 5,492 new cases and the spread of this virus is not accelerating and that is good news.
"What is recorded here is people on hospital beds with COVID-19.
"The highest of those is in London.
"This is a slower responding record of infections.
"What we see is the rate that this is rising is definitely getting slower and it looks like we are beginning to get towards a flat curve there which of course is what we have all wanted."
At the time of writing, Britain has the 8th highest number of COVID-19 cases in the world.
The UK has more than 60,000 cases in total.
